Nature-of-expense method with Inventory 365
The Inventory 365 app uses special enhancements to map a classic nature-of-expense method (NEM) process within the income statement. The app helps reconcile your company's current assets in the general ledger (financial accounting) and subledger (inventory accounting) with a variety of detailed features. This is ensured using modern filter techniques and additional analysis functions.
Identify differences at a glance
Inventory 365 provides you with filtering techniques that you can use as a basis for your analysis and to ask various questions. This prepares details that allow you to see at a glance whether the current inventory value in inventory accounting and your referenced accounts in financial accounting tally. If this is not the case, you can easily identify the source of the differences. This considerably simplifies the analysis process: without the app, you would first have to laboriously link the data by performing valuations outside of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – with Excel, for example, to determine whether and where there are differences, and then perform painstaking work to find the error. So the app saves you time, money and hassle.
Thanks to the app, you can map the nature-of-expense method clearly and completely within financial accounting. For example, post inventory changes within production or make manual entries to additional accounts. Or split the account for the inventory change – for manual entries, revaluations, inventories and scrappings. Increase transparency and expand the evaluation possibilities.
